Elaine D. Leffler 84, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the home of her son, John and Karen Leffler surrounded by members of her family under the care of Hospice Savannah.
She was born in New York City and was a longtime resident of Savannah. She was formerly employed with Town and Country and was the secretary for her husband, John Leffler, Sr. at Columbia Drug Company. Mrs. Leffler held various other jobs during her life as well a homemaker.
Mrs. Leffler was a member of the American Contract Bridge Club, Life Master and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Lee Doniger, her husband, John Leffler, Sr., and her son, Richard Leffler.
Surviving are, her son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Leffler Jr., of Savannah, her daughter, Laurie Odom of Pooler, her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Frances Doniger of Boynton Bch, FL., her grandchildren, Andrew Leffler of Macon, Mathew Leffler of Savannah, Kimberly Odom of Guyton and James Odom of Milledgeville, a special friend, Jan Obert of Savannah and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, 1352 Eisenhower Dr. Savannah, Ga. 31406
